We custom-make most double-glazed sliding windows (HR++) in our own workshop, with the remaining components provided by our trusted and skilled partners. Our projects
Installation of the New Sliding Window
To maintain your property’s historical charm, we strive to preserve as much of your original sliding window elements as possible. We carefully remove the old components before installing the new, custom-made window. We then finish all gaps neatly, eliminating drafts by fitting sealing frames. Finally, we paint everything to give your property a polished appearance.
If your existing sliding window features a traditional cord system, we replace it with a new system that maintains the original look. Your new sliding window can be smoothly opened and closed using pulleys and cords, preserving both the interior and exterior’s authentic character.
Depending on the condition of the original frame, the new window will either be installed within the existing frame or a new wooden frame will be used. Since we produce the wooden frames, window sections, and moldings in our own workshop, we can guarantee the quality of our products and services.
We ensure your new double-glazed sliding window closely resembles the original. For listed buildings, it may even be possible to use heritage glass in a replica of the original sliding window. It’s important to assess in advance which modifications are permitted without a permit for your historic property.
Warranty
Alongside preserving your property’s historical and authentic character, Heym places great emphasis on quality. Clear and transparent communication is central to our approach. This ensures direct contact, honest communication, and guaranteed quality at every stage.
We offer a ten-year warranty on frames and windows, covering issues such as water and wind tightness and color adhesion. Glasswork is covered by a five-year warranty, which includes condensation or dirt between double panes. Hardware and fittings come with a two-year warranty.
